ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

Faculty members take turns in presiding over a monthly seminar. Both faculty and graduate students are expected to participate in such discussions.


Jointly with the Department of History, the department regularly publishes the Anthology of Chinese Literature and History (Wen Shi Tsung Kan). The department also publishes the Bulletin of the Department of Chinese Literature, Studies in Chinese Literature, and the Abstracts of the Academic Works of the Faculty Members.

Under the supervision of Professor KUNG Teh-cheng, the film Marriage Rites of the Intelligentsia in Yi-Li (The Book of Rite) was completed in 1969, this film represented the ancient people's life and rites. In addition, the department published several research books: such as A Classified edition of Chinese Poetry Talk (Pai-Chung Shi-Hua Lei-Pien), An Anthology of Chinese Characters (Chung Kuo Wen Tzu); An Anthology of Materials of Chinese Literary Criticis (Chung-Kuo Wen-Hsueh-Pi-P'ing Tzu-Liao), etc.
