Faculty

          The department has been moving forward in achieving excellence by developing integrated, balanced, and cross-disciplinary faculty and curriculum. As of now, the faculty consists of 53 full-time and 19 invited part-time faculty members. The fields of learning in the Department of Chinese Literature fall into four groups: classics, literature, linguistics, and philosophy. The research fields of our faculty include classics studies, philosophy, Chinese orthography, phonology, philology, classical poetry, classical drama and novel, modern and contemporary literature, folk culture, Taiwanese literature, and teaching Chinese as a second language.
